Blonds Oooak Sneak Peak

Finally had time to finish this beauty! I've been super busy with school and work, so I haven't had time to reroot and re-do as much dollies as I'd want to.

Here's a Lara that I rerooted in plat blonde. She will be an ooaks for a Blonds project. I won't show the dress, but I can tell you it'll be sexy and spicy. As for her hair, I'm figuring out how I want to curl it.

Summer is Over!

Its the last day of August! With the blink of an eye Winter will be here. I hope you all enjoy the last few days of Summer! It may be over for some of you as school has started. 

2012 Barbie for President - Asian

Despite having molded on shoes and non bending plastic legs, she is a lovely doll. If this is keeping you from getting her I'll show you how to leg swap.Will post pics once I find some donor legs. Of course you can take the easy way and re body her, but why waste the articulated arms ^_^

Fashionista Ken

I picked up 2 pink bow tie Fashionista kens to hold as a body donor for the newer ones with no knee joints. I havent seen the new ones in stores yet so I figured I get some old ones now before they're long gone.
After I debox them I  notice something odd. I already had one in my personal collection and brought him out to compare with the 2. One of the new one has dark blonde hair with no highlights, looks like a variant or the factory ran out of hair for the highlights.  I dont know if you can see it in the picture, saran hair sure is shiny!

The variant is in the middle, even though they are the same doll each one looks different.

New Ken fashions are out and Im shocked with this one. Its only ONE outfit and should be in the smaller pack for $6. Its such a waste of packing material and its so not worth the amount! What was Mattel thinking!? I suppose its extra pieces since the vest is not sewn on the shirt, which is always sewn onto the pants (like all the suits M made so far) a one piece and a jacket  but still, seriously?!

 

Rapunzel Reroot commission

This 17" Disney Store Rapunzel doll, my first reroot of this size and it used so much hair!
Doing a doll with this length was a pain and I had to untangle often, even with braids put on. She took up most of my time and I do not recommend having a doll with this length of hair!  I was sick while working on her and scared the hell out of her owner as I couldn't get on the computer. I'm glad shes done and out of my hair ;-)

I don't have a doll of this size so I put the head on my 12" Rapunzel , which sorta works since most dolls today have a big head and all ^_^

2012 President Barbies

They're out! I saw them at toysrus and Target, both places has the 3 minus the Asian doll. I have a feeling Nia will be hard to find, just like President Leas. I really dont want to order her online because knowing Mattel, I will get one with funky eyes!



I also saw an interesting close mouth Cinderella, shes pretty! Looks like a collectors edition, with a big head ! lol

On the back of one of the new Cinderella dolls shows a new clothing pack with movie accurate colors! Cant wait to see the quality of these!
