Hey, that's MY PICTURE

I have been saying that a lot lately..
Its funny how people like to think its OK to use your picture without permission ! . Ive been lazy and it looks like I have to mark all my pictures, even the bad quality ones from now on.. The mark will be right on the dolls instead on the bottom  ^_^

If you see this picture on FlickR it came from here, taken by me!!

I have been marking my photos for years. It is a deterent to photo theft, but it still happens. People will crop off or remove the copyright if they really want to use the picture without consent. It's the Internet and some people think just because it's on the Internet they can use the information without going through the proper channels.

It is so simple to ask and in most cases permission will be granted in exchange for a courtesy credit to the owner of the info or photo, but then that would be too much like right.

Hello!
I use to say that the only secure way to share pictures without the risk to have it used out of your permission is keep it safe at your computer. When you put a photography in a site as the web, you can not have this worry. It just can happen and there's no way to have a fight for rigths here.Even because can be difficult find exactly where are your used photos. The only legal way to fight, is if you could prove someone is having money selling your job,for this if you are an artist keep all the images you made to choose the one you published and mark them in the center of the image so you don't let the guys cut it out...keep doing your photo creations because talent nobody can takes

Thanks for letting us know about this problem. Shame that people are not more civil.

As DBG reminds us, marking still does not stop photo theft. But, as Jorge writes, no one can take your talent away ;-)
